Q&A about laminate flooring

First of all, we msust say that we really don’t recommend you to put a piano of any substance on a laminate floor. With that being said if you are stuck with one the “best choice would be what we like to refer to as a “synthetic felt” type material as there is very little give. One of ths issues with laminate supporting that kind of weight is because the joints are usually snap together there is a lot of “flex” and it could cause your installation to fail in the future.

You might look at the specific manufacturer of your laminate flooring as “some” have glue options for your joints (even on click together products) and this will help ensure your floor will last. Also be sure to use nice large coasters under the legs!
