The Best Laminate Flooring for Kitchen

Choose laminate flooring

Kitchen floors present many problems as far as surfaces. Tile can be slippery (though they do make rougher surfaces) but do not present a water problem. Trouble can be the dropping of heavy utensils on them. Laminate can also be slippery with cooking oils in the air. Water is a bigger problem. Laminate repair due to an accident is a nightmare. Most laminates cannot be refinished as the top is a thin layer.

Although if you want laminate flooring on your kitchen anyway you may consider Mannington and Columbia brand laminates. They have warranties for water damage for kitchen and bath use. Mannington warranty is for 25 years, Columbia warranty is for lifetime of the buyer. Both are excellent.

Also Pergo is a good one for kitchen too. It doesn’t have water-proof garanty but it has a tongue and groove system and the joints fit tightly so that if installed correctly you don’t have to worry about it getting inside the seams. Also it has an adhesive you apply so that it doesn’t shift the way wood floors sometimes do. Pergo is nearly indestructible. It is the best if you have kids or pets.
